Using the Meal Planner

Recipe Book
All of your recipes are available on the left side of the planner. You can filter your list of recipes by Course, Cuisine, Tags or Popularity. Popular recipes are based on the total amount they have been added to your meal plan.
Adding items
You can add items to your calendar by either dragging your recipes listed on the left side of the page to the planner, or by clicking on any of the calendar days to add individual ingredients and events/notes.
Dragging recipes to your planner
To add a recipe, click and hold on the recipe you want to add, and then drag it to any day on your planner. Once a recipe has been added to your planner, you can move it around to other days, or order it among other already planned items.
Adding individual ingredients and events/notes
To add other items, click on the blank area of any day to bring up the days detail view. Click the Add Other Ingredients... link to add extra ingredients not included in your recipes that you want to show up on your shopping list. Click the Add Events / Notes link to add events or notes. Ingredients and Events/Notes can be dragged around and reordered just like recipes. You can also delete and reorder any existing recipes in the days detail view.
Changing Servings
Click the 'Change Servings' link at the top left of your planner to update servings sizes for each planned recipe. Updating the serving sizes will only update the ingredient amounts on your shopping list for that planned recipe, not your main recipe.
Saving / Loading Meal Plans
Saving a meal plan allows you to save a grouping of recipes, ingredients and events currently on your planner, based on a range of days. You can use this to easily add these groupings to another range of dates. This feature can save time if you have multiple weekly plans that you would like to use later.
Saving a plan
- Click the 'Save Plan' link at the top left of your
planner.
- Select a plan name like "Week 1 - Quick and Cheap".
- Select the range of dates on your planner that you want to save
your planned items from.
- Click the Save Plan button.
Loading a saved plan
- Click the 'Load Plan' link at the top left of your
planner
- Select a saved plan from the drop down list. You'll notice the
named plan also includes the amount of items and days in the plan.
Note: You can also delete the selected plan at this point if you
like.
- Select the starting date you want the saved plan to be added to
your meal planner
- Click the Load Plan button.
Meal Planner settings
Click the Planner Settings link at the top right of your planner to bring up the settings window.
Options Include:
- Select your Time Zone so your planners current day is always accurate to your time zone.
- Select the the day your weekly and Monthly planner
starts on. The options include; the Current Day (for the weekly
planner), Sunday, and Monday.
